I visited Maze Bar as part of my 7-day trip in Vietnam, which included 3 days in Da Lat.
Maze Bar is an interesting bar located along Phan Boi Chau, a 5 min walk from Da Lat Central Market. This bar has been featured in numerous online travel articles (now including this one!). As the name implies, this bar is maze-themed, where getting lost is all part of the fun.
There's no entrance fee for entering the maze. However, you do need to purchase a drink (which makes the pseudo-entrance fee) at the entrance before starting your journey. Getting lost and feeling tipsy? The best combination ever.
Standing at 6 storeys tall, there are unique decor and surprises waiting to be discovered at every corner. As you explore, you'll stumble across staircases and paths which lead to either nowhere or a new section of the bar - It does momentarily feel like you're in Hogwarts.
Every corner of the Maze Cafe is well decorated
I enjoyed navigating around the maze, sometimes even getting confused about which floor I was on. To make things more exciting, the bar is not very well lit, so I resorted to using my phone's flashlight at some points. The staircase in the picture below was near-vertical, so I had to exercise some caution when climbing up:
Yup, these stairs are near-vertical
Some passageways even require you to bend down to get past, and you'll feel entrapped in this labyrinth given the low ceiling and tight passageways. To best enjoy the experience, my advice is to wander aimlessly to immerse yourself in this quirky labyrinth. You'll get lost, but don't worry though, it's easy to find your way back out if you walk around enough.
Unfortunately, the highest level of the bar which supposedly features a rooftop garden (of which is regarded as the prettiest spot in the bar) was closed at the point of visit. If you do make it up, expect a rewarding view of Da Lat town.

If you explore enough, you'll eventually find some chill spots at some levels of the bar overlooking the Da Lat streets below. If you still have your drink on hand, it'll be a good idea to take some time to sit, relax and enjoy the view.
